Weather Precautions

Sailing is dependent on the weather. No wind can make for a slow outing. Hurricanes (and especially, thunder storms) can make for a very dangerous situation. In the case of any hazardous weather conditions, the Skipper has the right to postpone the outing with a window of two hours prior to the planned departure (at which point a new date will be arranged).

What to Wear

Depending on the weather, you will be advised as to the need to bring additional clothing (wind-breaker). Sun screen and a hat are essential for a happy outing. All passengers are advised to wear flexible sneakers, deck shoes or other appropriate footwear (no high-heels!) for comfortable footing on the deck of the boat. Binoculars are welcome for close viewing of landmarks on the Sound.

BYOB

Our goal is to give you an excellent boating experience under sail. You are welcome to bring whatever refreshments you may wish (both food and refreshments).

Payment Details

Payment is expected with two days’ preadvise via an online payment method (Venmo). In case of rain or weather issues forcing a postponement, a rain-check is offered. Refunds are granted if the Captain cannot meet on the appointed day.
